Green Leaf Mark Zero PFAS is issued under Intertek’s recognized Green Leaf Mark framework. It provides independent verification that no PFAS has been detected in a tested product or material, based on the defined testing scope, applicable test methods and reporting limits.
The verification program scope includes:

- Testing conducted within defined analytical scopes and reporting limits

The Intertek Green Leaf Zero PFAS Mark is a verification program covering the substantiation of claims that no total fluorine nor targeted PFAS have been detected in specified products/ materials. Application of the Green Leaf Zero PFAS Mark indicates that the samples tested by Intertek met the requirements established under the Program’s defined PFAS testing scope at the time of initial testing. Verification is based on the analytical results of selected samples submitted by the applicant, and applicants must ensure that representative samples are provided for testing. If there is any change in design, material composition, formulation, processing, sourcing, manufacturing location, or any other factor that may affect PFAS presence, the applicant shall inform Intertek and submit a new application for reassessment.
Intertek’s responsibility and liability are limited to the terms and conditions of the applicable Program Agreement. Intertek assumes no responsibility for production quality control and does not relieve the applicant of their obligations in this respect. Information provided in the Green Leaf Zero PFAS Mark, related Certificate, and Testing Reports is proprietary to Intertek. Intertek reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the Mark and related documentation where Program requirements are no longer met or where the Mark is used inconsistently with Program rules.
